Does anyone have a link to an official source that shows the deadline to submit papers so they can be included in IPCC AR7 WGI? Web search gives me March 2027 for submission and October 2027 for acceptance but not from an official source.

RFK Jr said these words today on national television "There were ICUs that were empty all over the country including in New York at the height (of the pandemic)" hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha You are a fucking idiot hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha <sobs silently>

This is a key point. Reducing CO2 emissions to net zero is needed to stop things getting worse. On it's own it doesn't turn back the clock. But some ppl (you know who) pretend that emission cuts are unrelated to climate impacts via extreme weather. They are dissembling.

This thread highights a subtle and difficult messaging problem. Achieving netZero will not reverse the impacts of the current climate, which has been heated up by historical CO2 emissions. It is too late for that. The point of netZero is to prevent the future situation from getting even worse. ..

As RFK Jr and Trump desperately try to gaslight us about the #COVID pandemic, remember that 1.2 million Americans died-- one of every 300 people in the country. The COVID-19 vaccine SAVED 3.2 million lives, prevented 18 million hospitalizations, & averted more than $1.15 trillion in medical costs.

Said this before, and will keep saying it: Prior to vaccine availability in the US, almost 1 in 5 people hospitalized during the pandemic DIED. For those admitted to an ICU it was more like 40-50%. The vaccines, and then the combination of vaccines and less lethal variants, changed everything.

Running out of body bags, using forklifts to transfer corpses into makeshift morgues, a mortician conducting 200 funerals in a month when he usually does 30, crematories running at double capacity… And these senators just want to memory-hole it all www.nytimes.com/2020/04/30/n...

And by June 2021, almost every single COVID death was in unvaccinated people It was essentially entirely preventable—but folks like RFK Jr, who lied by saying the COVID vaccine was “the deadliest vaccine in history,” were doing all they coul to derail vaccination 😢 2/2 www.pbs.org/newshour/hea...

Nearly all COVID deaths in U.S. are now among unvaccinated

It is a staggering demonstration of how effective the shots have been and an indication that deaths per day — now down to under 300 — could be practically zero if everyone eligible got the vaccine.

Trying to appease liars who seek your destruction for ideological reasons does not, in fact, make them stop trying to destroy you. Abandoning your values to chase after people who oppose you at their very core does not make anyone else trust you more. The results—unsurprisingly—are the opposite.

There are people who will tell you with a perfectly straight face that climate change impacts are not that bad, nothing to panic and rapidly phase out fossil fuels about. And anyway this destruction is about failure to adapt so it's sort of their fault.
