Go team @stratpolitics.bsky.social "the spirit does not use bridges; it prefers gaps so that it can leap."

Thing is I think it’s potentially cooler and better this way because as a professional paper pusher turned e-document steward, let me tell you how much I hate the existing tech stack of my company, and how much I’d rather tell a robot to do the clicks for me

thinking about the nightmare future where AI *is* effective for knowledge work and that *doesn't* destroy all the jobs but but *does* turn every job in to purely managerial and strategy-alignment work because implementation becomes free

Look, electability is kind of a joke in this environment, particularly in a pretty purple state like Michigan This is just everyone projecting about their preferred direction of the national Dem party onto a contest in Michigan

We asked people why they’re voting for me for Chicago’s 44th Ward. The message was clear: Lakeview wants someone who listens to everyday people, makes our streets safer, and builds a neighborhood that everyone can afford.

Tell me: how effective has loudly complaining been at getting politicians to change their campaign lit…? Because it seems to me BnR can only relate to a politician if they are also BnR

ANTHROPIC: Our son loves humanity and for the low price of trillions and trillions of dollars will usher in an era of unprecedented peace and prosperity! OPENAI: Our horrible oafish son is hacking web sites without our permission. ANTHROPIC: (eyes narrowing) Our son is also evil

I was dismissive of urbanist politics over the past couple of years but more recently I’ve grown to realize that urbanist policies are the organic demands of the proletariat. My personal attitude of what constitutes “progressive” blinded me from seeing the facts in front of me

Any Chicago ‘Leftist’ or ‘Progressive’ dismissing the ‘Safe Streets’ coalition — including Mayor Johnson and his supporters — needs to reckon with the fact that our opponents are astroturfed by the same corrupt right wing chuds opposing you as well. Solidarity is not solidarity if it’s one way.
