Journalist and whatnot. Written a lot of things about a lot of things for a lot of places. Also work in TV. I endure the Mets. The dog’s name is Walter. https://www.clippings.me/danreilly11

Haley Stevens is so offputting I’ve seen almost nobody on this app say her critics are being sexist and that’s really quite an accomplishment

They got Skubal, man. They got Grenkins. Horschy, gone. Flemders. Dreisacht. McInnundelleigh. Jurm. They got them. Bronkley, Fitzburgh, Charkles, Bensonveldt. This can't go on

got a “Let’s Go Mets” from a kid at the grocery store and it was heartening and a bit heartbreaking to see that innocent enthusiasm before the fire sale. Also saw a guy in a “I’m a Knick, Bitch” shirt and I wish him well.

It's so bad. Even jobs at places that once seemed "stable" aren't. And with editors being laid off and budgets being cut, there are less opportunities for freelancers to pitch, while it feels like even more people are trying to freelance because of lack of full-time jobs.

I am so tired of witnessing media layoffs and publications just throwing away amazing talent as this career becomes less and less sustainable and growing numbers of people are pushed out. All for shareholder profits.

Thread from earlier today, in case you missed it. It's not like it was a secret, at all, but now absolutely nobody with real power in music, film, TV, fashion, *anywhere* can say they didn't know.

For those in UK, hourlong BBC investigation into Leto now available. in US/elsewhere, 15 min version of the film on YT. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XW5... The hope is that the full documentary will be available internationally some time soon, will post if that happens. I worked with this film's team +

wonder how many publicists are using AI to run their emails now. I got pitched on a band, wrote back to explain why I'm not writing now, and they replied immediately with a slightly tweaked version of the same pitch. Pretty weird look for a major PR firm.
