Weird Game Designer Facts #14 Dave Gilbert of Wadjet Eye Games basically resurrected the graphic adventure as a viable game genre. By 2006, when he released his first game, The Shivah, graphic adventures were dead as a commercial medium. They had only rarely ever sold more than 100k copies.
