You can look at this and think it’s a funny little aside, but I think this is a perfect encapsulation of how fundamentally the Democratic electorate has changed.
Today is "Soft Rains Day" for those who remember this haunting 1950 Ray Bradbury piece. It's classic Bradbury, eerily accurate w/ its predictions in some respects (looking at you, Alexa), and well worth a few moments of your day to read if you're so inclined.

Her should resign. SPPD needs to be audited by an outside entity to see what kind of culture they're fostering there. They also need to be investigated for the response to Rose Ave.
The line about "30-day, 60-day solutions" is fascinating because my understanding of what was meaningfully different about the Carter approach wasn't that he never closed an encampment, instead he would give such a long runway for residents & support workers that it softened the worst effects.

Someone should design an article subscription structure where you can pay ala carte for each article, and if you buy enough from the same outlet within a timeframe that equals a subscription you just get the subscription.
The easiest possible layup for a President at war with another country would be to explain that they are attacking us. Trump won't do that because he views Minnesota as a bigger enemy than Iran.

I have been weighing what more to say on the news continuing to unfold about St. Paul's mayor. There are layers here, but as a St. Paul resident, as someone who has worked with the Mayor, and as someone who has frequently experienced harassment; I hope the Mayor seriously considers stepping aside.

Getting only like five days (at the most) ahead of the news: My nominee for both interim and permanent mayor is @tombasgen.bsky.social but, critically, residing in the persona of Pierre "Pig's Eye" Parrant at literally every moment of every day.
If you're an elected official or candidate from *outside* St Paul calling for Mayor Her to resign, you should be talking to colleagues to put pressure that way, not posting about it. Presumably most of your followers are also not StP residents thus can't really have a direct effect on say a recall
