Very very frustrating when couples can get married in churches because they like the aesthetics, but those who regularly attend for years and truly want God to be part of their lives and relationships cannot.

Oh good another grant rejection. We have applied for 7 grants so far this year, with a bunch more we’ll be applying for this fall. We’ve been rejected by 6, and got runner up for 1 of them, resulting in $1000. Our annual operating budget is 250k. Oh wait that reminds me. Anybody need a tote bag??

Cached US #KindleBookGiveaway: 8 copies of Feedback (Newsflesh Novels Book 4), by Mira Grant(although I hear that @seananmcguire.bsky.social helped out as a sounding board). This is a sidequel, not a sequel, to the main series, but reading the original trilogy will help I suspect.

Here are some reasons I use it: - Slow Internet on an airplane - I’m over 40, I have no idea who that celebrity is - Bluesky broke images again - My vision sucks and that text is too small to read otherwise - Conveys further context and authorial intent

One Message Remains by @premeemohamed.com was very good. I think Taya's story was my favorite. I've read a few of her books now and I appreciate is that she doesn't force characters into feel-good decisions. When they come to a hard choice, there's a real feeling of tension and suspense.
