As a professional Zelda speedrunner and lifelong fan of the series, many people have been asking me for my take on the Ocarina of Time remake. My opinion on the game is yet undetermined and hinges on one singular point: how they model Bombchu Bowling Alley lady.

Another point to make re: swords and D&Disms is that, like, almost all of the swords we associate with fantasy originate from the Late Middle Ages (which also had guns, and where knights were mostly obsolete due to economics) and in the High Middle Ages you had, like, one kind of sword

A European Knightly Sword or Arming Sword, basically the only type of sword anyone used in the High Middle Ages

European one-handed swords were always primarily designed for thrusting, and as steelmaking techniques got better the swords got longer and thinner and the center of mass moved more towards the hilt until you eventually had a rapier

Consuming Harry Potter content doesn't mean that someone is transphobic, but it does reveal that they don't care about the health and safety of trans people as much as they value a piece of fiction funding the modern genocide of trans people.

It's never too late to stop using AI. It doesn't matter what you're using it for, however much you're relying on it, you can stop. There's nothing it does that can't be replaced by other, better methods. You can always learn new skills, it's never too late.

Feeling great because someone sent me pictures of their new "Werewolf: The Apocalypse" core rulebook in Portuguese (they're Brazilian) and I was so enamored with the art, then realized that the style of a lot of the art reminded me of @wolfskulljack.bsky.social and told them such, clocked it so fast
