I just watched The Clan's Heir Is a Tran Woman after finding it from this post, and it was incredible. A little clunky, sure, but it's so much more than just any yakuza movie. It had me in tears, and was clearly made with so much heart. It's an instant favorite. I loved it.

Finally saw Godzilla Minus One, and it's fucking great. Godzilla's terrifying, the use of the oldschool Godzilla music is perfect, the human characters are the heart of it all, and the story's haunting, with the survivors of post-war Japan enduring another horrible threat in the wake of the bombs.
