Triangle, books, bad at posting

every dead senator gets a thoughtful obituary lauding their “courage” and then if you look it up the courage was filibustering the Give Medicine to Cancer Kids act

“[Prove] to the plutocrats that they actually are in the same game and bound by the same rules as common people... This can be done within the confines of the rule of law—but only if legal consequences are swift, painful, and delivered on a timescale they cannot ignore.”

"If we wait for the hyperrich to finally realize that their fates are tied to ours—for their children to contract measles, or for them to get cabin fever in their apocalypse bunkers—it will be too late for many of the rest of us." - @olufemiotaiwo.bsky.social www.bostonreview.net/articles/a-y...

It's not hyperbole in the least to say Musk purchased a six-month shadow presidency for $280 million and used the power of that shadow presidency to 1. Steal the government’s data, 2. Permanently damage the state’s ability to regulate his businesses, and 3, kill non-white people.

Still feel like "Musk and his crew of incels destroyed a bunch of stuff they didn't understand and thereby hastened the deaths of millions of children" did not get the public attention it warranted.

In a world where "AI" submissions are a plague, human-written stories are the cure for an editor's breaking heart. Don't let the flood discourage you from sending your work out there. You are better, no what the hype of the moment says. We want your stories. Not the slop-infested noise.

Hot take: the open fuck you energy of 10-1 did better than 9-2 would have. L. Louise Lucas was right. Soft-pedaling it wouldn't have sold, "you're goddamn right we are" did.

personally while "force majeure" was on the bingo cards I wasn't expecting to see phrases like "piracy" or "letters of marque" in contemporary discourse quite this much. maybe there's still hope for me to try out a swashbuckling era as a privateer

the tech fascists think they are so clever and smart but their entire worldview is just a bunch of stale apologetics for race hatred and fascism
