Dems replaced action on trans rights with hollow statements, then dropped those statements, then embraced anti-trans rhetoric. Now supporting anti-trans laws and blocking pro-trans ones. At every step the "they're betraying us" radicals were correct and "be patient" liberals were completely wrong.

Newsom has vetoed a bill that would have prohibited future governors from handing over abortion providers, helpers, and patients to red states for criminal prosecution. The bill also barred extraditions involving transgender care.

O hey Reminder that in (homophobic) '94 as Dookie was blowing up, Green Day picked queercore Pansy Division to open for them + a lot of venues pressured them to drop them as openers -- Green Day told the venues they wouldn't play if PD didn't - and the venues (mostly? all?) backed down. huh.

It's so wild that "you slightly criticized option A so you must be fully in favor of option B" is such a widespread attitude. And yeah, I wish a lot of politicians -- including Talarico -- had a more thoughtful attitude about most things, including trans people.
