Over and over some people demonstrate that racism IS a material interest in their decision making and that the racism supercedes everything else. But some refuse to take these folks at their word.
That's the blunt truth behind all the philosophical arguments. Men can rape women and face no consequences most of the time.
Even before a single cop or barrister enters the equation, most communities protect and shelter rapists from consequence. Cast doubt on victims. Appeal to the rapists' character, beg to consider their futures and potentials, plead for this "mistake" to be overlooked. Victims have nothing. No one.
It's true that the "justice" system frequently sides with rapists, lets them off the hook and re-traumatizes victims. And it's true that trusting a punitive carceral system is folly anyway. Effectively, we live in a world where socially and legally, there are no consequences for committing rape.

SARS-CoV-2 detected in 98% of samples through the year. Influenza A was found during flu season. That’s why you want to wear an N95 respirator in an airport! And all indoor public spaces all year!

When the criminal justice system callously and repeatedly shows a woman that there's absolutely no help coming - and then dehumanizes her and disproportionately punishes her for finally defending herself and her children - that's patriarchal, state-sponsored violence.
