‼️ PSA for pixel artists!! If your image uploads are turning out blurry, please make sure you are NOT exporting your pixel art at 400% resolution. The Bsky WEBP compression algorithm severely blurs pixel art exported at this resolution, making it an unreadable mess. #pixelart

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

If I leave to get a snack at "Processing Vulcan Shaders(11%)" and come back to discover I missed an opening cutscene, I'm going to assume the developers don't regard that cutscene as important.

Something I don't think many execs understand is that companies don't make games: They make teams. And if they do it well; if they make stable, well-resourced, high trust teams, those teams will make great games forever. But that only happens if the execs understand what the company makes.

my belief is that at the end of the day, great games are made by groups of people who have high trust with each other & can fluidly execute a shared vision. which is a small part of why these layoffs are so devastating- it's not just about jobs, it's about these "trust structures" being torn apart.

I picked up this raggedy jersey as my next visible mending project. I had intended to run a gradient yarn through the damage and refinish the collar in crochet. Instead, I seem to have accidentally learned to repair the knit. Curious to see which way it goes as I get to the more complex bits.

We're going to see such a hard shift in culture toward embracing the aesthetics of naivety as a reaction to rapid information and genAI, "cringe" will shift from derogatory to complimentary. Graphic design is going to be so dominated by lot of collage, mspaint, and single photo subject matter.
