In the Covid years I volunteered with @settled.bsky.social to help EU citizens gain settled status after Brexit. Some I helped had lived in the UK, like this couple, for over 50 years. It is a sad indictment of government that 6 years on there are still so many cases coming to light.

I wrote him a long email a few months ago. I tried to point out that every time there is a serious "accident" , it must take hundreds of hours of police time to investigate it and then possible launch prosecutions. Why not spend police time trying to prevent dangerous driving in the first place?

Good to see these enforcement officers out today in Moseley Village with the PCSOs. They also went to Oxford Road. I have asked for more patrols at evenings and weekends. I later had a briefing about A435 bus lane improvements which should help deal with the parking issues outside Java Roastery.

Today I’ve been learning where our household food waste goes and how it is processed at the Severn Trent Green Power plant in Coleshill. As well as producing energy which feeds the National Grid and nearby business park it also produces fertiliser which is pure enough to be sold commercially.
It’s a relief to see the bus cap back at £2 - we @libdems.org.uk called out the hike from day one.🚌 But millions are still being left behind by route cuts, unreliable buses & areas lacking services, especially in rural communities. Burnham must deliver affordable, reliable transport for everyone.
