Been talking with a friend and we think it women should be able to get a fit note that signs them off not just from their job (or not even from their job if they don’t want that) but from their unpaid work, because so often they are expected to soldier on as long as they can struggle out of bed.

Worrying scenes in the Channel today, for all interested in asylum policy and maritime tactics. A small boat from Normandy spent more than 30 hours at sea. Those on board now on their 2nd rescue vessel as Border Force forced to play cat and mouse with far-right activists who have their own boat.

Bike repair is returning to Oxford city centre. A mechanic from Broken Spoke Co-op will be fixing bikes every Wednesday morning at the Handle Bar on St Michael's Street, formerly the location of Bike Zone until it closed in 2024. Repairs start tomorrow from 8.30am to 1pm.
