It’s worth noting that Taco Bell identified the source before the FDA did, and promptly pulled it from their stores. The FDA didn’t even name the source until Taylor Farms outed themselves, and hasn’t issued a recall. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA.

I've been professionally complaining about autism research for 10 years. I've done detailed scholarly analysis. I've done qualitative research with autistic children (the only part of my dissertation that is still unpublished). I've done several summer camp events with mixed neurotype groups.

I tossed the opening paragraphs of 1984 at an AI bot a while back and told it to copyedit the thing. The results were entirely appalling. BECAUSE ROBOTS AREN'T WRITERS.

To expand: A person complimenting themself on both their writing and editing skills sic'd a bot on a 35,000-word piece of writing, and the bot came up with 48 corrections, of which the writer accepted 44. 48 CORRECTIONS IN 35,000 WORDS? Honey, I've got 48 corrections on your first three pages.

This is the food supply chain equivalent of “[software] is insecure because they put out a lot of CVEs” It’s GOOD that they patch and disclose a lot of vulnerabilities, actually. Who you really need to worry about are the ones who don’t think they have any

This summer, we kept the lights on all night, every night, at five soccer fields across New York City.

This was the scene at Calvert Vaux Park in Gravesend, Brooklyn Tuesday night.

Mamdani left soccer field lights on all night…..the lights usually go off at 10pm. They set a camera up and guess what they saw?? Residents playing soccer with their friends ALL NIGHT. One man said how much he loved it because his friends work late and can’t get to the field before 10pm.
