Want To Make Money? Build A Business On A Bike Lane

Research from New York City notes that newly installed protected bike lanes do more than keep bikers safe--they raise the income of the stores they are in front of.

Urbanist Philomena Cunk. In America, they invented a clever system called sprawl. It’s a brilliant idea where they put the place you sleep exactly twenty-five miles away from the place they keep the bread.

I don’t care where you started out on the political spectrum If your kid comes out as trans & you don’t become a rainbow-clad, parade-cheering ally & rock-solid supportive girl/boy/enby dad/mom? You were never a parent at all You were a doll collector furious they didn’t stay in their packaging.

I'm telling you if you're not married by like 20, it's over for you. Women are building their own boyfriends with Claude right now. You're not even gonna get an entry-level boyfriend job. It's tough out here even for principal boyfriends.

i spend half of my day really fucking excited for the things i will see in my lifetime and the other half really fucking horrified about the things i will see in my lifetime

I feel like there's a cohort of us who got on the internet before "social media" and made all sorts of healthy friendships through forums or livejournal or what have you and thus, while everyone's like SOCIAL MEDIA FUELS COMPARISON AND MISERY we're like, but that's just where my friends live.

Without the online friends I’ve made over the years, some of whom have become offline friends (even recently!), I would be a much, much lonelier person. Social media feels evil sometimes, but it makes some miracles too.

I don't believe that every trans person in America should immediately be made aware of every single evil bill introduced by some podunk state rep in a random red state they don't live in I don't think that's healthy. I have always needed to see a likelihood of advancement before I would write it up
