In 2028, a milquetoast corporate Democrat will win the presidency, spend 4 years maintaining what Trump did as liberals go back to brunch. Then, in 2032, as life keeps getting worse, we’ll get something like President T Carlson.
In American politics, we have this naive notion that if we beat "the bad guy" once, then everything is made better. But we need to continue fighting to make things better, to never stop trying to push not only for true revolution, but also to build communities that can keep moving forward.

This isn’t doomerism, nor an argument against voting or fighting GOP voter suppression. Voting can materially improve lives, or at least keep them from getting worse. So please, vote. But don’t mistake the temporary relief of winning an election for the work of building a better world.
