Days before the Cornell story went viral, a student of mine set off a personal security alarm by mistake in class. Overwhelming, many of my male students simply could not understand why she had it. Many of my female students couldn’t grasp their lack of comprehension. We are living in two worlds.

Then Mamdani gets elected and makes it all look pretty easy. No wonder they hate him.

Ruby Bridges was 6-years-old when she stepped into the history books. Bravely accompanied by her mother, she was the first Black child to desegregate an all-white school in the South. It was not long ago… Today is her birthday. She is still with us. She is 72. Happy birthday, Ruby Bridges 💜
