Tl;dr if you're on iphone do NOT use the Patreon app to pledge to creators. If you notice you're not paying more it's because the creator chose to take the cost out of their own cut. It's so easy to avoid it.

If you pledge to my patreon through the ios app you will pay an additional 30% fee (Apple's fee, they keep all that!) AND your pledge is held by Apple for 75 days. So if you pledge to me in March maybe I will get that money for rent in June.
