Have now slowly re-read the ruling, and it is even more damning than at first reading. The ruling pretty much sets out Manchester City was fraudulent on a systemic long-term basis. Not just mere non-compliance, but ‘concealments’ and ‘disguises’. Also some MCFC witnesses were ‘dishonest’.

Today is International Right to Know Day, the day on which I traditionally remind everyone that if you want to learn how to use your FOI rights more effectively, then you should buy this excellent book

Meta's platforms have repeatedly been caught running ads for deepfake "nudify" apps that let you virtually undress real people without their consent, but they won't run an a trailer for an upcoming documentary that reflects poorly on Elon Musk. www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/dig...

The Major Social Media Platforms Are All Rejecting Paid Ads for Alex Gibney’s ‘Musk’ (Exclusive)

YouTube, TikTok and Meta have all turned down the trailer for the Oct. 9 doc, citing “political” content. X won't even take Bleecker Street's calls. The distributor is appealing.

Donald Trump continues to publicly support Pete Hegseth amid the Iran War debacle, but privately he is telling friends that when handing the world's largest military to an alcoholic cable news host, he should have picked someone from primetime.

Analysis | A Democratic midterm rout could end up as a gift to Mr. Trump, setting him up to end his term as a pragmatic, centrist unifier—drawing upon his decades in business to deliver results for the country.

Should the taxpayer-funded FBI be dispatching multiple counterterrorism agents to investigate threatening phone calls that Stephen Miller’s wife Katie claims to have received? We asked two tradwife influencers at a Christian crypto conference in Orlando.

Whatever you do, don't smoke an entire brisket at a job interview, it's a lot of equipment to bring in, it takes a really long time to do it right and those conference rooms have notoriously poor ventilation

A former staff member of Tony Blair Institute said they had serious concerns that this was “very much trading money for access”, but was instructed by a colleague not to describe it that way. ‘They were saying you have to be really careful not to make it seem as if they’re paying money for access’😬

My Glock system went rogue and issued 9mm agents which accessed the internal organs of several victims. Please give me billions of dollars to help me regulate the behavior of the gun whose trigger I keep pulling.

Does my Speak-n-Spell feel pain when I type O-U-C-H? The jury is out. Philosophers and neuroscientists say that's fucking stupid, but I called a guy from the Center for Pretending that Household Electronics Are Sentient and he said there's no way to know for sure.

The theory was that a large crowd outside the police station would deter the police from pressing charges, so that Mr Thomas would be released tonight at 11pm. This has not worked, as the police have charged Mr Thomas, remanding him to appear in court in the morning

Here's Rupert Lowe MP's payments from X Corp over the past year. This man is making serious cash from Musk's platform. Payments surged over the summer, during UK 'unrest', and when Musk was frantically re-sharing Lowe's posts... Bleak, lucrative work if you can get it.

Line chart plotting 21 payments from X Corp to Rupert Lowe MP, as declared in the Register of Members' Financial Interests. The x-axis runs from 3 September 2025 to 16 September 2026; the y-axis shows the value of each fortnightly payment in pounds, from zero to £12,000.

Payments run between roughly £1,100 and £2,200 through late 2025, rise gradually through spring 2026 to around £3,000–£3,800, then jump sharply to £11,724.97 on 10 June 2026 and £10,265.50 in July. From there they fall in five consecutive steps — £4,412.76, £3,126.35, £2,885.36, £2,542.04 — to £2,413.89 on 16 September 2026, a fall of 79% from the June peak.

Two things worth carrying with the graphic whichever version you use.

The July point is marked with an asterisk because the register gives its received date as 7 August 2026 while recording it as registered on 15 July. Plotted it at the likelier 7 July.
