Every morning when I wake up and I'm making my coffee, there's about 5 minutes when I haven't looked at my phone and I give myself over to the possibility that *it* happened and I just haven't found out yet.

The distracted driving discourse is already popping off but I’d just like to throw in: I’ve been an insurance adjuster for almost 13 years. When I started, we almost never saw high speed rear end impacts. Now they’re like the most common type of claim. It’s distractions, this is obvious.

1850s City: "We should build a sewer network so we stop walking through raw sewage." Guy visiting from the country: "A sewer doesn't serve my rural outhouse lifestyle. Stop wasting funds on city infrastructure and just dig wider poop gutters!"
