And yes, 10/7 is Israel's 9/11. Except that 10/7 was in many ways far far worse than 9/11. One way to understand this is to observe that 48,000 Americans being murdered is the proportional equivalent to 1100 Israelis being murdered.

“They want to trans your kids” is so fucking disingenuous, like we want kids to be themselves, and if who they are is trans, we want them to be able to be trans. They make it sound like we want to force everyone to change genders whether they want to or not, which is absurd.

I don’t want peaceful politics after the 2026 midterms,nor after the 2028 presidential election! I expect the political criminals to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,and our constitutional laws to be strengthened for the future generations!

Dems replaced action on trans rights with hollow statements, then dropped those statements, then embraced anti-trans rhetoric. Now supporting anti-trans laws and blocking pro-trans ones. At every step the "they're betraying us" radicals were correct and "be patient" liberals were completely wrong.

"This election is about the threat of trans kids" is the worst possible messaging for Dems yet so many candidates are leaning into it. No voter will flip R->D over it. Low-info voters read this as "you're focused on bullshit that doesn't affect me" while the base reads this as "you're an asshole."

Cis people see trans people upset about their rights being stripped as “performative outrage” because they often can’t understand what it’s like to genuinely give a fuck about trans people. Their allyship is performative and therefore so must be our anger over attacks against us.

btw everyone doing this was also homophobic until that suddenly became gauche in like 2013

I've been doing trans rights related work for a decade and I don't think I've ever had so many friends in community in crisis. People are cracking under the weight of the despair of the current moment. I don't know what to do at this point. It's all so incredibly heavy.

🦇 And then people wonder why the suicide attempt rate is almost 1 in 2 and they decide it's cause we're mentally ill and then also blame that on us being trans, as opposed to how every aspect of life is hostile to us and we aren't treated like people but rather objects, scapegoats, and rape meat.
