He/his | 31 | Just an average 🏳️‍🌈 🇭🇺 guy who loves Eurovision (less and less each time...) and 🚆

I think Patrick Stewart himself would be tickled the BBC News channel is treating this story the same they would if the King died. Its been the only thing they've talked about for at least 40 minutes now.

🇭🇺's absence is expected. The job listing for the permanent CEO for the re-established pubcaster was posted relatively late; presumably temporary leadership has to make spending choices for the next quarter already. Obviously making such a big decision beforehand would hinder the new CEO's prospects

📡 36 broadcasters will compete in the #Eurovision Song Contest 2027 in Burgas. Canada debuts, North Macedonia returns and Czechia withdraws. Boycotters Iceland, Ireland and Netherlands won't return. Slovenia and Spain have until December to decide.

Oxford Street pedestrianisation has really highlighted how people on the internet really care about mobility impaired people. Very interesting because no one moves when a wheelchair wants to get on the bus but now everyone cares they can't get a taxi to Selfridge's door 🤔

So much to say about Brazil, not least of which is the role that Erika Hilton, a Black trans leader and most voted woman politician in Brazil, played in mobilizing folks for Lula. She was behind the critical, concrete, economic promise of shorter work-week. theprint.in/feature/erik...

Who is Erika Hilton? Black trans politician was one of Lula’s loudest campaigners

Erika Hilton’s electoral triumph comes amid a hostile environment. Brazil has the highest number of reported murders of transgender people in the world, with 80 recorded in 2025.

Today is Intersex Awareness Day. I am intersex – and did not find out until I was 26! Intersex people are also impacted by the decision in FWS, but this is much less talked about. Intersex people continue to be subjected to non-consensual medical interventions. Intersex rights are human rights.
