Concealing your plans to scythe benefits from the public is not “moderate”. Nor is joining culture wars on the side of hateful, cruel reactionaries, or conniving in war crimes and genocide, vastly expanding what counts as “terrorism” or creating spurious pretexts to arrest thousands of protestors.

I’m never going to get this conversation out of my mind. The central thesis, as I understand it, is that Starmer’s unprecedented fall from power is inexplicable because he didn’t make one massive mistake just a constant stream of mistakes. He was the fucking Prime Minister.
