avg bluesky user: don’t call it “revenge” when it’s accountability under the law. framing matters. your aunt on facebook: I want my nazi scalps

also, I posted what I thought was a joking post this morning about bluesky immediately starting to yell at dems again and then people started to yell at me as if I was serious so I deleted it, but I want to be clear: you should yell at those two, they deserve it

Uggghhhh if anyone would be willing to supplement for the fact that I guess I’m going to urgent care instead of doing DoorDash tonight cause I can’t really walk on my freshly broken toe, that would be a blessing 🙏🤕 We’re still kind of living day to day and back to $0 Ko-fi.com/PaniniKill

God fucking damnit 😭 TW: injury I just tripped on the like threshold between two types of flooring and it both ripped the skin off the tip of my big toe and bent the whole thing back and seemingly fractured something I still have to go do DoorDash tonight why did I have to break my toe

I think this is common enough now that you could call it a phenomenon, where the defining limitations of a classic game are removed, and players call it an "improvement" on "clunky" mechanics and controls. IMO the mechanics define games as much if not more than the themes or aesthetic vibe.

Enjoying Queen's Domain so far, although a portion of the playerbase calling it an improvement on king's field is concerning to me! What defines King's Field are the controls (esp. the cam controls which deeply affect the action), lack of jump, and slow classic dungeon-crawler-esque pace

remember when the DNC was like "oh god we're out of money please give us more" and it turns out it was because all of a sudden there were eight billion seats they never thought were in play where it was worth spending money the world where they have another couple hundred mil is even funnier

looking at districts that republicans ended up winning or slightly ahead and oh my fucking GOD this was almost so much worse for them there's so many 1-4 point losses

With Mississippi's U.S. Senate race effectively tied, know this: About 70,000 people in Mississippi are blocked from voting because of felony convictions. *Two-thirds* of them are Black—a huge overrepresentation in a state where Black people make up less than 40% of the overall population.

RESULTS: Virginians have repealed the constitutional ban on same-sex marriage. They also codified abortion rights into their state constitution.

Got thai today (it was yummy) and we overheard a guy next to us talking about how he asked chat gpt to turn his friend into an action figure and how cool it looked and me and my friend gave eachother the “we both hear this and it’s funny but let’s not react” look

Honey these newsrooms are filled with sociopaths who will step over your corpse on their climb up the brunchlord social ladder without a second thought It's absurd. A whole class of status obsessed, inkstained Agnes Van Rhijns. Just completely bizarre, insular, woefully misplaced priorities.

One of the things that really struck me about NYT that mirrored my Cornell experience is you could meet someone at a party and if you weren't significant enough by the light of day they would pretend they had never met you. I asked someone who went to Harvard and she said it was true there too.
