one small thing I'm noticing amidst all the speculation: the media shorthand "the Arab parties," which covers the Joint List and Ra'am, effectively erases the 10k or so Jewish voters who form part of the base of Hadash (one of the parties in the Joint List).
When I lost my job in games late last year, I was so angry but also utterly heartbroken. It was a role I thrived in, loved my team & was so proud of the game we shipped. To have that all taken away & to have not been able to get work in games since has been soul-sucking. The grief and pain is real.

"After the cease-fire was declared and Israel entrenched its occupation in the south, Israeli forces flattened the entire village. South of this village, destruction stretches 6 miles. Much of the area is now uninhabitable"

Excellent piece on the citizenship proposals. The proposed legislation is not only aimed at limiting the numbers of new Irish citizens; it is designed to encourage non-citizens to leave. It is the work of policy-makers concerned mainly with the constituency that believes that “Ireland is full”.

Reading about this legislation is making me feel sick. Sick with shame for this country, that would be so meanly begrudging to the people who come here and enrich us by their presence.
