The Stevens / Clyburn / Tlaib / Schumer GOTV rally for El-Sayed should be a moment of joy and togetherness is what I'm saying.
Call me crazy, but if a Democratic president had 350 accounts closed by their bank for money laundering it’d be more than a blip in the media
i hope this is a wake-up call for the people on here entrenching themselves on one side or the other. the democrat, whoever it is, must beat Mike Rogers. That's the only thing that matters after today.
eh I think a lot of people are confused just because a lot of MAHA used to be hippie-dippie stuff but then there was a time when that described the homeschool movement as well, but that doesn’t mean the current crop of homeschoolers are worth pursuing.
The richest person in the world, an avowed white supremacist, today again posted "the next step is getting rid of 'source code' entirely and just making an efficient binary directly with AI" because he has no idea how anything works, not even the basics of industries he is in.
I'm a little skeptical about this. I think some people will get real worried about winning the general tho
A lot of people on this site are going to have major mental and emotional breakdowns after Abdul El-Sayed wins in Michigan.
We can't solve a housing crisis without building more housing. Today we broke ground on the Casanova Residence, which will soon be nearly 100 affordable and supportive homes with on-site services for New Yorkers. Every new home is a step toward a City that everyone can afford.
This is a wild view of American society, shades of Trump's apocalyptic "American Carnage." In truth, Cincinnati is a very nice city. The rust belt has had problems, but it's better across the board than it was a decade ago.
Some people got jobs as computer programmers. The middle of the country got hollowed out. Cincinnati is full of crumbling ruins. There are tent cities by the river where everyone is on H. Living death. The jobs moved to Shanghai. Not good!
Republicans are getting real fucking comfortable out there.
You can't win this guy over. You can only defeat every candidate he votes for.
The media has totally normalized that Trump sees his job as forcing suffering on anyone or any place that doesn’t support him enough. It’s fucking treason.
Still can’t over the fact that the president of the United States just told an entire state to pound sand after getting cyberattacked by a foreign adversary because they didn’t vote for him and it was treated like a Tuesday lol
I think 2027 HR1 should be the No Man Above the Law Act. It should clarify that the president does not have absolute immunity, and it should provide a clear legal path for consequences when federal agents commit crimes of any kind.
I think there is a distinction that Tom elides between being an asshole in general (agreed, don’t want Dems like that) and being an asshole specifically towards the Republican assholes who need aggressive pushback, and a lack of the latter is interpreted by voters as a weakness and lack of fight.
I feel like the “you don’t know what’s in his heart about his kids” is basically just saying “Vance might not actually believe the things he’s saying, he might just be pretending to be awful for political reasons”. And, yea, maybe? That’s still awful, and I’m still going to hold him accountable
"It's crazy to be racist against your own kids" isn't "over the line" it's actually the correct and decent thing to say
this is extremely good, not because I think Harris is likely to be the nominee again but because this is how expanding the Court becomes table stakes for everyone who wants to run for President
Harris Says Supreme Court Should Expand to 13 Justices https://politicalwire.com/2026/07/31/harris-says-supreme-court-should-expand-to-13-justices/
And what fucking line am I supposed to have crossed? How many fathers, how many sons, have you cut, killed, murdered, fucking butchered, innocent & guilty & sent them straight to fucking hell ain' ya? Just like me! You fucking stand there, judging me, and talk to me about crossing some fucking line?
I think it’s a remarkably stupid thing for a political candidate to say. This is not the first time people have pointed out Vance’s hypocrisy on this issue, but to pull his children into it and say that you somehow know what’s in Vance’s mind about his own kids is over the line.
An awful lot of discourse on here is "oops all factionalism"
Chaperoning a preschool trip to the aquarium and one of the other dads who is vaguely familiar with what I do comes up to me and goes “man I sure hope we get some Nuremberg-style trials at the end of all this”
this is the kind of obstreperousness, don't tell me what to do-ness, i got rightsness that is the sheet anchor of American liberties.
"WE THE FUCKING JUDGE SON" New York, I love you. I love you so fucking much. Via wali_talks on IG
"THE FUCKING PEDOPHILE-IN-CHIEF IS NOT GOING TO PROTECT YOU" This is the most patriotic, neighborly, First Amendment American ass shit. I'm so proud.
The booming economy is always 2 quarters away... bsky.app/profile/atru...
Lutnick: "In the 4th quarter of 2025, this economy is gonna be humming."
Just yesterday I saw someone say that Stephen Miller would be an immigration moderate in Europe. I think not.
Stephen Miller said just the other day that all asylum claims are "fake." A couple deported from the U.S. to Guatemala were gagged, bound, and shot dead. Their 14-month old found crying next to their mother's body. People like Miller don't care though because this is the point: ethnic cleansing.
What is this "read to filth" line that's suddenly everywhere, and always refers to the MI primary? I've never heard the phrase before.
I think we should talk about ending plain-clothes policing as a thing. Guys in hoodie and masks seizing people on the street is very, very bad. Whatever benefit we get from normal plain-clothes policing isn't worth this. Let's draw a bright line: LEOs must be uniformed and badged.
If that's not enough conflicts, the editor's *spouse* was also a Collins staffer and the paper's owner is a Collins campaign donor. This is the context in which Collins buys her home from the family behind BDN in 2013, which also makes her the owner's neighbor. #mepolitics 5/X
