Police in many parts of Europe are very aggressive about enforcement and seeking out distracted drivers, while also having better designed streets. I don’t think we need to pit these things against each other.

If Metro can do this, BART should be able to too! Station retail is one of the things I worked on for many years as a BART director but never accomplished. I think we would have made progress without the pandemic. After the Connect Bay Area measure passes, I hope BART brings back station retail.
