Here's my Cosmo piece about how segregated bathrooms have impacted my own health www.cosmopolitan.com/lifestyle/a6...
Avoiding Public Bathrooms Damaged My Bladder—Now, As a Trans Man, I’m Finally Letting Go
Inside the emotional and physical toll of holding it in.

Efforts to police bathrooms are evil and will impact peoples' health. Segregated bathrooms themselves must be done away with, it's the only solution. I reported this question out, years ago for @99pi.org 99percentinvisible.org/episode/wher...
The pervasiveness of the term “biological male” is proof that the style guides are determined by a certain type of staffer and it ain’t one that knows what my hormone panels look like
Did we ever find out if the A is for Asshole?
It’s true, in the past I would have had multiple editors in my inbox asking me to write about the Cunningham stuff. I haven’t gotten a single assignment request. Trans writers used to be tokenized to write about these things but now that the topic is “mainstream,” those bylines go elsewhere.
I need people to understand that for the last half decade that there’s been an ecosystem of trans folks in sports media who have worked unpaid to serve as experts for context, sources and educators on what it’s like for trans athletes, in hopes of potential bylines and contacts. That’s dried up.
This is rough but I think it talks about a lot of what is missing from the Cunningham/WNBA discourse. Namely, that trans people are not hypothetical thought experiments. They are real people who are being genocided by our government & any coverage that doesn't center that reality misses the mark.
the answer is always to disavow it
Would you let the Proud Boys march in and sit courtside?

I'm looking to speak with LGBTQ+ WNBA fans about their thoughts, feelings and responses to Sophie Cunningham's comments on trans athletes and the league's response thus far for a story @19thnews.org. My DMs are open and I'm ready to listen! 👂🏀

for months, ive been trying to map out the ways the right and the left were uniting against data centers and AI both here's my story on my efforts, featuring steve bannon's anti-tech prophet, my girlfriend's high school english class, and the unabomber:
How Data Centers Broke American Politics
What the Unabomber, Steve Bannon’s tech guy, and Bernie Sanders taught me about the great data center backlash of 2026.

So no more half-measures, no more politeness, and no more fucking meeting in the middle. Every tradition weighing upon the world today like a rusted yoke must be named and uprooted and purged, and every doddering fence-sitter pushed over the edge with the rest of the sun-baked garbage.
Every detention center is troubled. We are a troubled society that we have them.
A Salvadoran immigrant, Edwin Jovanny Lopez Cornejo, who was being held at a troubled federal detention center in Newark, New Jersey, has died, according to the city’s mayor and Senator Andy Kim www.nytimes.com/2026/08/03/n...
Every trans story in the NYT should come with a court-mandated banner that reads "We at the NYT played a crucial role in encouraging the social targeting of trans people. Contribute here to our reparations fund sending no-questions-asked direct payments to trans individuals in the US."
the obsession with trans women in sports is, apart from the abject bigotry, a symptom of how we take amateur sports participation way too seriously in this country.
We no longer need a trans day of visibility, we need a trans day of shut the fuck up about us.
A good commissioner steps in now before every WNBA game becomes a rightwing performance space, like school board meetings were during peak CRT. You just have to throw the hammer down on this. Do not give them an inch.

Working with anarchist artist NO BONZO, we've made a support poster to inform people about the Minneapolis 15 case. 15 people are federally charged with conspiracy for allegedly defending their neighborhoods from ICE. Please print these out and post them everywhere! crimethinc.com/posters/supp...
Liberals: giving the New York Times money doesn't do anything to trans people The New York Times in just the last 24 hours:
Lemme tell you about the angel of history being blown backwards into the future: The shackles these people have been put in are Hiatt brand, same company founded in 1780 to mass produce shackles for slaver ships.
The use of extremely online memetic aesthetics to support far-right political goals is like something out of Walter Benjamin’s nightmares.

I was able to dig all of this up in like, 20 minutes of research. I dont have the time or energy to organize more myself, I'm burnt out. But I know there are plenty of trans people out there who want to fight back and have free time and $12 for a domain. Get your friends together and just f'n do it!
Refrigerator trucks full of bodies. Mass graves. Family members dying alone in hospital corridors and unable to have proper funerals for fear of deceased spreading disease to funeral home workers. Our social media-induced attention spans are memory holing history at an increasingly alarming rate.
THE FOUR SEASONS had a an episode set during Thanksgiving 2020 when everyone gets covid and it’s treated very much like a bad case of the flu. This is somewhat dangerous revisionism of the risks from the disease pre-vaccine.
Being mortal creatures with limited time and energy, it is totally natural that human outrage is selective. If you tried to do work on every injustice and horror on this earth, you would collapse into an exhausted ball of trauma it is absolutely fine for you to select a cause that is yours
99% of the time, when someone accuses you of selective outrage, it’s a way of politically demobilizing you and shutting you up “Why are you angry about data centers instead of fast fashion” isn’t about making you care about fast fashion. It’s about shutting you up about data centers And visa versa
I think another issue that a future Congress should definitely revisit is the "the Constitution doesn't exist in the imaginary border realm"
What an interesting crim pro hypo! I had no idea duress passwords exist and it kind of makes me want to put one on my phone. techcrunch.com/2026/07/24/u...
I would be interested in reading about the demise of Alligator Alcatraz written from the perspective of an organizer who was involved in trying to close the concentration camp. How and why did it close?
government is literally bombing another country right now and they’re displaying a giant LOVE banner
I need people to understand that this administration’s litigating position is (1) federal law currently mandates the detention, without bond, of every noncitizen who is allegedly unlawfully present and (2) constitutionally, they don’t get a day in court. they’re generally losing, but they’re trying.
All pipeline projects must be suspended by Carney immediately. Anything else is unacceptable.
One in five northern First Nations had to flee their homes last night from the fires. The Namaygoosisagagun First Nation was so heavily consumed it's "completely burnt down". Mark Carney was pushing more energy projects and pipelines while generations of families lost their homes
it's not an own to point out that all these fucking guys trying to deny trans people their hormones are so into HGH and whatnot. they don't care either way about 'gender affirming care.' they want to be he-men and they want trans people to die. to them the two projects are perfectly coherent
