You should be asking why Rockstar gets to do this and doesn't run into any issues with payment processors, while the rest of anyone drawing or writing "explicit content" on any platform have so much trouble getting paid

if your supposed skill is in ideation, and yet you can't think of a single way to make your game without AI generated VO? then you've got a pretty long way to go with your ideas if your only conception of "good" is "high fidelity/professional"
Before Sam Altman and co created the Torment Nexus, "AI" referred to a collection of clever strategies for enabling computers to dynamically perform complex operations without immediate human input. All through ingenuity and hard work, by serious developers. None of it was inherently harmful.
This is what I'm talking about when I bring up that genAI bots are making it impossible for an open web to actually exist. It becomes expensive, a pain, and domain providers like cloudflare are profiting off both the people making bots and the people who don't have the tech skills to fight them off

It really doesn't make sense to attribute those job losses to AI-the-technology, because if that were the case we'd be observing AI outputs displacing conventional entertainment products, and they're clearly not. Rather, the impact of AI is that AI-the-business is crowding out other investment.

This is what I see whenever I come across AI generated food ads, flyers, or menus.
It’s very simple and it’s been said over and over but I guess it needs saying continuously: if you deem one group too small to have equal rights you are enabling fascism, not fighting it. The people saying Dems are GREAT on trans rights are not paying attention and/or saying stuff like this.
They fired so many artists over this too. People who helped make the game iconic were tossed out on the street because the Slop Faucet could do it "decent enough". If you still play Fortnite, you're funding the hyper-acceleration of AI replacing Artists in Gaming

Undertale monsters did not initially turn to dust upon being slain, but would instead be sent to an optional trophy room. This feature was short lived, as playtesters spent hours obsessively examining their "fine specimens".
No really this whole privacy section is incredible and every review should have one.

Idk I thought we were making cool, unique, soulful worlds in old video games. It's hard for me to learn that so many of us - players and creators alike - looked at what we made as "the best we could do at the time" and what we were apparently hoping for all along was just total photorealism.
