It’s struck me my whole life that conservatives just walk around saying the most hateful shit about California and about blue cities, that if a Democrat said those things about Alabama or about rural dwellers it would instantly end their careers.

1. There are LOTS of blatantly anti-Catholic Chick tracts - I remember seeing these as a kid in Georgia in the mid-90s, and my parents were atheists/agnostics. 2. If you don’t know what a Chick tract is, you may be very sheltered from the reality of how insane most American evangelicals are.

Listen. I spent more than a decade as a theatrical technician, rigging stages, hanging lights, flying scenery, etc. The number of times I have dropped anything on a stage with performers on it is zero. The number of times I’ve dropped something that might’ve killed someone is zero. This is major.
