I'm sorry, but I can't be the only person who is wildly amused by the legs sticking out from the top of the door on the RESIDENT EVIL poster. I literally laugh every time I see it out in the world. To me, Door Legs is an icon. A diva. The moment. Door Legs is Time's Person of the Year.

They sold carpet, and converted their showroom to videos (and of course in the beginning this included VCRs). We had sleepovers in there. We watched Death Race 2000 two thousand times. We had no idea how magical it was.

my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. Dolly responded to it personally & paid for her top surgery. Sounds like an urban legend but it's real. I think we're going to more stories like this.
Texas’s drag ban was found to be unconstitutional this morning and one of the plaintiffs who brought the suit was an Austin-based drag queen who often impersonates Dolly Dolly was named in the final judgement itself and after hearing about the lawsuit, she sent that drag queen a signed guitar
Sometimes, when someone dies, what helps me is thinking about how wonderful it is that they were even alive in the first place. Dolly was the closest you could get to an American saint. We all loved her.
I wouldn’t say it’s intentional that AI is erasing this but it IS anti-knowledge, anti-understanding to make people believe ‘there’s a perfect right answer out there you must receive it already processed but know nothing OF the process.’ It is how you produce truly unassailable ignorance, in fact.
Headphones are a great way to experience *actual* music. They let you listen to audiobooks or podcasts, keep up with world affairs, talk to loved ones, conduct business. But one of their greatest benefits is block out people who describe ambient noise that's 90% traffic as "the music of humanity"
