They are currently sabotaging a veto referendum that should have suspended the GOP's new House gerrymander

there's a lot of people across the political spectrum who simply cannot process the fact that ethnicity is a social construct, that many ethnicities did not exist within the lifetime of living people, and that nevertheless ethnicity is an extremely real thing that ppl will kill or die for

The notion that without Israel all the Israelis would embrace their true wholesome identity as Europeans or Arabs or whatever is complete lunacy

And how rarely those things happen to abusers, esp. high-status white male abusers.

Flock’s array of license-plate cameras was built to fight crime. But at least 50 law enforcement officers were charged with or accused of misusing it and other systems.

i have been thinking about this since i tweeted it and i think some of it has to do w/ppl treating "the internet" in the '00s and '10s as a place ... not where what you said didn't matter, but where norms were different and you could have another personality than you did in "real life"
