Retracted! Today the first article was retracted in the research misconduct case at Oslo University Hospital where 1700 trans minors had their mental health info used for research without consent.

I'm in group chats where trans people without the funds in America are debating whether to try and walk into Canada as illegal immigrants and just roll the dice they'll be safe and welcome. It's vital that we have a network in place in the UK before we need it.

I just learned of the Discourse (tm) about how white people saying “inshallah” is counterrevolutionary cultural appropriation I know I’m late here, but thought I’d add my thoughts as a former Arabic professor: That’s stupid and no way in hell that whoever started it actually speaks Arabic

Anyway, my takeaway from the whole “inshallah is cultural appropriation” nonsense is: More people should learn Arabic; not only is it a beautiful, useful, and wildly expressive language, but also — — learning it will actually help you be less racist and stupid about Arabs and Muslims.
