On July 29 StatCan released a 'corrected' version of its table 36-10-0713-01 with annual labour productivity statistics for 2025, by industry and province. They contrast greatly with the annual version of the quarterly LP statistics released June 3. Hard to know what's going on with Canadian LP.

The Film industry's fixation on established IP is now so terminal that they themselves confuse IP and branding. If you want a "completely different" James Bond, what you actually want is, something that isn't James Bond, but is James Bond branded. Which is dumb. Make a new thing, and make it good.

every time I see this there's a lot of "what if we did a completely different thing that isn't James Bond at all" hypotheticals and, yes, many of those hypotheticals sound neat and I would like to see those movies but they are not James Bond, lots of us still like James Bond, let's do both
