Worth noting that the Trump adm seems to have panicked because of the blowback it was receiving on this issue, and might have restored Starlink to the Ukrainians. Further proof if it was needed that standing up to Trump is much better than sucking up.
In this @phillipspobrien.bsky.social makes the excellent point, that Starlink dependency is as much as a threat to the US as it is globally. A malevolent operator, making political donations in the hundreds of millions, could easily use the on/off switch to impact domestic political opponents.
