"Not the odds, but the stakes." That, as it glides in with this: My reply to a reader who asked what could journalists be doing now to break with some of their more corrosive habits. I post it from time to time.

My name is John Handelaar and I vote in Cork South Central, in the unlikely event that my local TD Micheàl Martin, the head of government and only person both able and too weak and chicken to sack this prick, is interested in what people in his own backyard think about this fuckwit neonazi failsib

In a country in which democratic values really were long-established, rather than merely painted on the other week to placate the IMF, a minister attacking a rape crisis centre *and* using rape victims to attack an industrial dispute IN THE SAME WEEK would have been permanently ostracised, instantly

4, 6 and 9 are -- to be fair -- definitely and without question, each the product of two prime numbers. So those surprisingly-brittle ssl certs do have *some* basis in public-key cryptography theory, at least

Lousy assumption. Jim O'Callaghan is a first-term know-nothing councillor-level intellect with a famous sister, promoted miles beyond his no-talent, now scouring the arse of the British media barrel for a series of racist and/or otherwise-fascist ways to ingratiate himself with cunts who drive taxis

Jim O'Callaghan and many of his government colleagues are reasonably experienced politicians, so the only logical explanation for them fucking things up this badly is hubris. reckoning they have the numbers since GE24 to spend 2-3 years acting with impunity
