Interesting 🧵 about publishing in Math. tl;dr: All papers in Math are preprinted. When publishers ask big $ for subscriptions or OA, mathematicians simply say "No thanks, we read these papers already on arXiv." Publishers then force unis to buy Math journals by bundling them with Bio journals.
