Imma just say it. At 85%, White Kids who came from a place of privilege running the DSAs after they helped benefit from gentrified communities, have no survival instincts. That's why they are scared to challenge Red Districts. They are scared to face their parents.
This has been my experience with Bluesky discourse tonight and it has not been fun.

Stevens' has had so many own-goals here and has only herself to blame if she loses. She could have high-roaded it, adopted some of El-Sayed's sensible positions, and run on her record to an easy victory in November. Her supporters should humble themselves so we can flip the Senate. I hope they do.

This is not the immediate issue of the moment. Indeed, I'm not even sure there is such a thing. But I don't think anyone has gone on to disappoint me more in American politics since 2016 than this guy. His time has passed. It's time to move on from Bernie Sanders.

I don't think they failed at all. I just think we are not akcnowledging what their goal actually was. They used Gazans as a Trojan Horse to achieve their objective of installing 🍊. The goal was to weaken the party and country to shift the balance of power. That is my firm belief. They can read.
The failure of the Trump presidency and the exposure of right wing scams have arrested Dems’ slide with young male voters. Keeping them in the Dem coalition as insurance against resurgent fascism is a much harder problem. It can’t be solved with superficial gestures or policy chits. It’s ~~praxis~~.

Remember when this account was uniting us against fascism? And now it's taking all the bait being thrown out to divide us and weaken us ahead of critical elections? There will be DSA and establishment Dems on tickets against Rs throughout the country. Getting all of them elected is a good outcome.

Mamdani and AOC both figured out that if you want to win as a dem you have to attack the republicans significantly more than the Dems. Kat and Bernie never figured that out.
