Yesterday there where echoes of @getdweb.net camp at @berlinfediday.berlin.social.ap.brid.gy by @cypherhippie.bsky.social Awesome to see AT Protocol and ActivityPub getting closer together and join the fight against centralisation instead of wasting energy with infighting - this is the way!
My music is finally in the Atmosphere! I had some time to play around with *spaces*. Via alpha.indiemusi.ch I uploaded my audio files in a spaces restricted audio library and I decide which apps can have access to them. Check out followify.indiemusi.ch/artist/inspa...
☁️ Cirrus 0.18 supports atproto spaces alpha! See the guide here to enable it:
Enable spaces (alpha)
Turn on the atproto spaces alpha — flag, bindings, R2 lifecycle rule — and manage spaces from the CLI and dashboard.

When private data on the AT Protocol rolls out, it'd be cool to be able to store your Obsidian vault in your PDS.
Alright going focus on writing this week/end of the month - going finish my post about building the decentralized apps on atproto - update on my weight lost journey - thoughts on atproto’s strengths and activity pub strengths. Still forming thoughts. But I think I got some good ones already
markdown files as functions that you pass variables into is so funny

rssCloud Server 4.0 Now Supports WebSub Notifications
The rssCloud Server now features WebSub support, an alternative protocol for notifying subscribers of real-time updates. Following Dave Jones' 2020 suggestion, the integration allows compatibility between rssCloud and WebSub, enabling apps to use either protocol for publishing and subscribing to RSS feeds seamlessly.

I use it to combine my Mastodon and Bluesky feeds and to create some lists where I interleave YouTube feeds, RSS and social media posts around certain topics
@cocore.dev at work in the @pdxtrend.bsky.social Pdx Pulse trending topics bot. The bot tracks the PDX Posts feed and uses an llm call to organize and title the trends. The llm call defaults to a local but fails over to co/core if the gpu is busy. Roundtrip time was flat. Great work, @graze.social!

My favorite posts on all of Bluesky are the every few months "The For You gaming PC will be down while spacecowboy installs more RAM"
For You will be down for ~20-60 minutes - I will be upgrading my computer's ram from 96GB to 192GB. I've been hitting uncomfortably high memory usage levels (90%+) and it is time to bite the bullet. I bought an identical kit a year ago and the new kit is exactly 7x more expensive.
The hardest thing about the atproto permissioned data proposal is reading "space host" and not immediately adding "coast to coast"
as a little pre-show surprise, here's an early draft of the permissioned data proposal! github.com/bluesky-soci...
This is a good explainer. The one change I'd make is that the fiefdom thing is something that very explicitly came from Mastodon, as it was implemented in the world. ActivityPub is in many ways just "two-way, more efficient RSS"
"but where are all the bluesky instances?" i've heard this so many times that i wrote an explainer
i'm now hosted on the @eurosky.social PDS, whilst muuing this from @mu.social - what's next?
