I think at that point his implicit threat to other politicians stops being electoral and starts being stochastic terrorism. The average diehard trumper at this point is someone with a history of impulse issues and bare minimum is willing to excuse political violence

Does Trump "have a clear plan for handing the situation in Iran?" Americans saying yes went from 40% around the start, to 33%, and now 25%. Terrible numbers (deservedly so). For reference: Support for GW Bush on the Iraq war began over 70% by some measures, and fell to ~45% by the end of 2003.

people believe that losing an election is a moral failure; it's because you adopted bad positions or because you made mistakes. this is the myth of meritocracy.
It's unnerving that the Pentagon leadership doesn't know how to prepare for, fight, or win wars, but does know how to make internet content, so Pentagon policy and resources are being altered and diverted to make content rather than defend the nation.
Trump may not realize it, but he's probably better off having the public not hear him. This is why Fox cuts away every time he starts in on one of his insane and incoherent rants, because their job (as they see it) is to make him look as good as possible.

It's because YOU MUST NOT ABANDON THE VULNERABLE TO DEPRAVED PEOPLE WHO WILL DO THEM HARM. If we will, what's the point of anything else we do?

I still don't understand how my politics-heavy feed isn't ringing off the hook that an Independent Senate candidate in IDAHO is up +12 in the polls against a three-term GOP incumbent who's chair of the Foreign Relations Committee. Or that Idaho has an abortion rights initiative on the ballot.

Yeah: the Unitary Executive theory of removals is dumb because the President must faithfully execute the laws—including civil rights law—and firing people because of race and gender violates civil rights law. People really need to read Federalist Paper No. 69.

Vance does best with the most Trumpy authoritarian populists, but he's also ahead overall. I don't see a viable lane for Rubio or whoever else. tbh "incumbent VP loses primary" is the kind of scenario we like to imagine because it's more interesting than the reality that it literally never happens.
