An underrated cause of Infantino’s problems is him playing silly buggers with EA Sports: FIFA got $150m a year just to let EA use the name on a game. Literally free money. But Gianni got greedy and wanted more, EA called his bluff and walked away. Since then he’s been trying to make up the shortfall

This is pretty god damn bleak. Amnesty has withstood pressure from murderous dictators and genocidal regimes and yet they caved to lawfare from JK Rowling. This effectively means no domestic UK organization can criticize Rowling or GC orgs without risk of being destroyed by endless lawfare.

Domino's went after a very aggressive expansion model, to the point where in my local area there were almost as many Domino's stores as McDonald's stores (5 Maccas, 4 Domino's). That sort of business model was always going to be unsustainable, especially once the prices continued to increase.
