Brilliant letter from Stuart Thompson to Jeremy Clarkson about his comments that benefit claimants should write weekly thank you letters to tax payers detailing how they spend their benefits each week.

me trying to get pictures to explain my taste in men to someone but not wanting to just google something generic like 'large guys' so i google 'husky gentlemen' and well. i don't know what i expected

I’m so goddamn mad about this. I was born too late for the bicentennial, but as a kid I thought “At least I’ll be alive for 250.” Then America just sucked by the time it happened and nobody felt like celebrating. Even the people who ostensibly had reason to celebrate completely half-assed it.

It is amazing that the 250th anniversary of America was pretty much just not a thing. You could tell all the companies thought it would be, they had 250th ketchup and ice cream and energy drinks but all we got was a shit ass fair that no one went to

the thing about having actual principles is that when a politician I respect does some stupid shit I can just be like, “that sucks, knock it off” instead of inventing an imaginary world where I’m forced to defend stupid shit for procedural 4d chess reasons

the food safety stuff is another reminder that a large, huge, gigantic part of being a republican is going “lmao why are we spending money to prevent horrifying disasters from happening if they never happen 🤪”
