People who don't live in Michigan: i know you've seen the clips of Haley Stevens. I don't know anyone with that exaggerated accent. People I know mostly sound like El-Sayed. My in-laws hav3 pretty strong Michigan accents but don't sound anything like Stevens.
There is absolutely no reason for any trans person to give Democrats cover to abandon full trans equality on any issue, in any region, in any race, to even the tiniest iota.
