Yes, there's a lot of garbage out there made with image and audio generators. And generally speaking, it sinks like a stone. Nobody wants to buy that. People want games made by real human perverts powered by fetishes that we don't have the words to describe yet.

Other indie games: I'll use this story beat to give some context and background info to the player, so they know more about their character and their motivations Polyarmory team: You know, I bet we can fit another Evangelion reference in here

Other indie games: I'm gonna make a heartfelt and touching story that will bring the character to tears. Me: You know, I bet I can fit more references to Goodburger in here.

It's hour one of Develop Conference day and I've already bumped into one person who I've only ever talked to online and they're cool. Yay :) Say hi if you see me!

Keith wearing an orange polo shirt and smiling, clearly staring too much into the sun. In the background is the English Channel and Brighton's west pier; a burnt out wreck of a pier that isn't a metaphor for the games industry.

There really is no overstating how horrific the 2026 KSCIE guidance from the UK government is. It takes on board all of the punitive, coercive, ill-conceived musings of the Cass Review, and turns them into a recipe for making kids' lives hell on earth.

So, it looks like the new DfE guidance on trans students in schools incorporates recommendations from the Cass report. Suffice to say that is an *incredibly awful* decision. Here's a thread with my analysis of Cass on social transition from back in 2024.
