The “best” thing about genAI (the quotes are doing heavy work here) is that it’s really lowered the bar on getting into hand-made art. Literally anything you make is better than ai. There’s never been a better time to throw away your fear and start learning that craft you’ve always wanted to learn.

I love boomer shooters as an ideological thoughtform where basically evil exists, literal supernatural from hell evil exists, but it CAN be stopped specifically by just shooting the fuck out of it, just one guy (or gal) whose mad enough and has enough guns CAN just kill the shit out of evil

The overwhelming millennial urge to post a video of the rain outside and some cryptic song lyrics, allowing ai assisted geoguessers to pinpoint my exact location, triggering a kill response from any nearby automated drones because my name appears on a government list for being too 'woke'

one of the weirdest things about working on games is how quickly something can turn from "this feels awful and unplayable" to "this feels great and polished" in the span of like a week with highly targeted adjustments and no major redos at all

PSA for you if you are a game developer: your game does not have enough funky slap bass go listen to the toejam and earl soundtrack and do more of that. we have plenty of atmospheric orchestral and idk, idle keyboard shit. do something weird, man.

Hey substack writer- I get it. Finding images is hard! And especially finding royalty free images. AI ain't the answer, brother- makes your article look cheap and generated. You know what's free and easy to do? Collages. Make a collage. It's 10x more eye-catching, and folks might even read it.
