It is *very* important to understand that Jews were never the only target of the 1930s Nazis and they are not the only targets of today’s Nazis. A Nazi salute is not only antisemitic. It is also racist, ableist, and queerphobic.

Transgender activists (yes, that's Chelsea Manning in the suit!) just staged a sit-in inside the congressional bathroom closest to House Speaker Mike Johnson’s office, to protest GOP-led efforts to keep trans people from using restrooms that match their gender identity. Muskeljudentum, or muscle Jewry, sought to create the “New Jew” — a virile, violent, muscular warrior — as opposed to the “Jews of Old”, who they saw as weak, backwards, pathetic (after all — how else would they suffer through antisemitism?) It was rooted heavily in white supremacist ideals.
