In 2016, an intrepid group of scientists stepped onto the #Greenland Icesheet and setup a camp to collect the most comprehensive dataset ever made. They made simultaneous measurements of microbiology, glaciology, geochemistry, atmospheric parameters and remote sensing for 6 weeks.

The important characterisation of the UK pop'n from More In Common highlights v low levels of trust in most former 'authoritative' professions. Scientists are the exception. Trust both fragile & valuable. We scientists must continue to *earn* it. Science communication is more important than ever.

Air quality question for @mparrington.bsky.social @cleanairlondon.bsky.social London’s air was pretty bad today. All Breathe London sensors saw the sudden rise that started late last night and peaked at 2pm today. Blew from the west, organic mass, no fires recorded in that area. Any ideas?
