The only people funding Antarctic expeditions anymore are private investors from old money who belong to weird social societies. These rich guys are just obsessed with recreating some expedition from the 30's that only found a couple fossils. I don't get it.

This is pretty god damn bleak. Amnesty has withstood pressure from murderous dictators and genocidal regimes and yet they caved to lawfare from JK Rowling. This effectively means no domestic UK organization can criticize Rowling or GC orgs without risk of being destroyed by endless lawfare.

I often wear sunglasses when it's not particularly bright out, because I get a lot of migraines and light hurts. Really miss when the worst that could happen was people thinking I was a poser, not a creep who might be filming random strangers.
