demand more of your working class heroes than whiteness, a beard, and a plaid shirt
As for the men wondering why women wait so long to come forward: because it's humiliating, you dumb fucks. Not because we did anything wrong but because of the way society views survivors and the fact that we're always put on trial too if we report it--as if we're also the perpetrators
TBH, I think Steve is giving the Court too much credit here. It's not at all clear to me that they've shown up with a fire extinguisher as opposed to, say, a bag of marshmallows and some hot dogs.

Republican partisans on the Supreme Court have gone from putting their thumb on the scale, as in the days of Bush v. Gore or even Citizens United, to setting their whole ass on it.
BREAKING: SCOTUS acts immediately on Alabama redistricting, vacating earlier decisions blocking the 2023 map and sending cases back to the district court — over the objection of Sotomayor, joined by Kagan and Jackson. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...
Walking through the park, I overheard a five-ish-year-old girl say, “The birds are ringing,” & her mom gently laughed, & then the girl said, “The bird KEEPS ringing, Mom,” & her Mom said, lightheartedly, “Well, you better pick it up,” & then the girl paused, looked at her shoes, & started crying.
yet another day of the Supreme Court right-wing majority dragging us back to the 1960’s 🙄 Equality is not a difficult concept. #VotingRights #Dissent

Immigration law is "a maze of hyper-technical statutes and regulations that engender waste, delay, and confusion for the Government and petioners alike." (And that's from the 2d Cir in 2002. Things have not improved, to put it mildly.) Scrap the INA. Start over.
What people desperately need to understand is that it's not just ICE or CBP that need to be destroyed, it's really our entire immigration system. It's a system that criminalizes movement and enables kids to be treated as lawbreakers for something they had no role in.
